Bonnie's First Post

5 more days and counting. Thanks to all of you for the nice comments. And especially to Paul for making such a valiant effort. Jenya says my hair appears to be growing in gray now.

Bonnie and I are sitting in the conference room at VM using their computer. She is walking quickly, with 'long steps'. She is well on her way to being strong enough to come home on Wednesday which was a slight concern last week. If you haven't seen her in a few days, the improvement is amazing! I will post more later tonight. Right now I can tell she wants to play some video games!

  2. Bonnie -- it was wonderful to see you today. I also noticed a big improvement from when I saw you Sunday. Way to go on working so hard with your therapies! Looking forward to seeing you at home Wednesday.

  3. Hello Bonnie,

Glad to see by the comments that you are gaining strength every day and that much closer in going home. Terrific news! Keep up the walking, the playing games and staying perky (perky??). See you soon. Dianek

  5. Bonnie,
It sounds as if you're improving by leaps and bounds! It was good to see you on Tuesday. I ran into Kathy Lee at the John Stanford Center on Thursday when I was there for a math training. We chatted for a bit.
Keep on motoring along! You'll be home soon.

  7. When I visited Friday afternoon I was pleased to be able to witness your sprint down the hall, well, sort of. It's hard work, but you can do it with your cheering section behind you. We'll try to keep you busy. Stay cool. See you Monday.

  8. Dear Perky,
I'm at John's right now and am showing him the blog and everyone's comments including Billy's about Pete's needing speech therapy. Ha, ha!, I can hear him now! I've been up in the North Cascades this past week hiking - we did a total of 25 miles. Brother, am I aching. So, glad to hear that you are getting up and around and using the computer. Only a few more days, then home with Emma, or yes, and Peter. Lots of love and hugs, Dianek
