There will be an Open Memorial Service to celebrate Bonnie. Please join the family at Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center on Saturday, June 12th from 4:30 - 7 pm for a chance to laugh, cry and talk about Mom. There will be some refreshments (thanks to our lovely friends and Wedgwood family).
Stop by and swap stories, see some friends, share some hugs, and chat about the good times.
Hope to see you all there.

A Life to Celebrate
Bonnie passed away today, June 1st 2010 at 11:45 am. She was sleeping peacefully with Peter holding her hand and brother-in-law Billy there. The hospice nurses told us on Friday that she probably wasn't going to last through the weekend, but we got an extra couple of days.
My mom was the best. She had surrounded herself with such wonderful people, and we thank all of you for supporting her and us for the last few months.
We are planning a celebration for her - The plan is for Saturday, June 12 in the late afternoon. I will get out more details as they happen.
Thank you - everyone again for your love and support.
And Mom, LYM

Life is Hard
I know it's been forever since I have updated this, and I am currently not looking to start it up again. It's just too hard for me. I know a lot of you are far away, and are curious how my Mom is doing - and honestly, she is not doing well. She can no longer walk (hasn't been able too since late January maybe) and she doesn't have any appitite at all. She has gotten out of the house a few times thanks to extra help from very special family and friends and enjoys her trips out although they wear her out in just a few hours. We recently had a family meeting with Gwen, a grief counselor, who wrote a really nice poem for us from the talks she has had with my mom. I wanted to share that on here, so if you happen to randomly stop by the blog maybe you have the time to read it.
I will be with you
When my eyes no longer see
Loving you as I do now
In a light where I am free
Dear Ones, I am always here
In your heart and in your tears
How could I really leave you now
After loving you so many years
Look within, you'll feel me
Standing by your side
Breathe deep, you'll know me
by my gratitude and pride
In all you are and who you'll be
as you journey on through life
I will be with you always
as your mom, your friend, your sister,
and your wife.
I will be with you
When my eyes no longer see
Loving you as I do now
In a light where I am free
Dear Ones, I am always here
In your heart and in your tears
How could I really leave you now
After loving you so many years
Look within, you'll feel me
Standing by your side
Breathe deep, you'll know me
by my gratitude and pride
In all you are and who you'll be
as you journey on through life
I will be with you always
as your mom, your friend, your sister,
and your wife.
